Proof Of Overseas Income - Embassy Document

Featured Replies

For my visa extension based on having a Thai child, I need to get a confirmation letter from the British embassy that I receive more than 40,000 baht into my Thai bank account each month from overseas.

A couple of years ago I applied for this document directly at the British embassy in BKK. Now that I'm living in Pattaya, does Barry Kenyon (the UK Consul) accept applications for this confirmation letter at his office? - or do I have to go to BKK with my application?

Simon

The last report that I recall is that is that he can do them.

Are you aware that the consulate now has an office near immigration. They are open mornings.

You have chosen the worst immigration office to get an extension based upon having a child. Unless you have court ordered custody of your child you will not get it in Pattaya.

Ubonjoe, thanks for that (rather depressing) news. Since I am currently just staying in a hotel in Pattaya, it might be better for me to get my proof of income papers from Barry in Pattaya and then apply at Phuket Immigration for this extension.

I'll check with Barry Kenyon to see what documents he needs etc.

Simon

Phuket would be your best choice. I think you have contacts there that miight be of some assistance.
