Which Embassy Processes The Fastest For Single-entry O Visa?

Featured Replies

OK, I am in BKK and need to go out of Thailand to apply for a single-entry O visa on the grounds of visiting my Thai child. I a a little short of time.

Are there any Thai embassies in nearby countries who do same-day processing? Or does it always require an overnight stay??

Simon

No same day service at nearby conulates. All are next day.

OK, it would then seem from reports that either KL or Penang present the least 'hassle', in terms of having to queue/fight with 100 other applicants...

Simon

For a aingle entry Penang is probably the best because you can use an agent. That makes it much easier than having to go to the consulate and deal with the wait and etc.

Have a good trip. Be sure you take the original copy of your childs birth certificate with you They may want to see it.

Hi Simon, I think Firefly fly direct to Penang. Could be worth investigating.

Hi Ken, I may or may not fly from Phuket. I'm living in Pattaya right now (during the week), where I am starting a new job. But I prefer not to 'tie' my visa into my job, hence the interest in a non-immigrant O. (Once I've settled in here, I will fly back to Phuket a couple of times a month to check on the hotel...)
