Khao Lahm

One of my favorite snacks in Thailand is Southeastern style Khao Lahm. I was introduced to this years ago cycling from Chonburi eastward and recently got to sample some more when visiting Ko Chang. The style down there is a very dark and rich texture, while up here in Chiang Mai, it is light colored and rather bland in flavor. Has anyone in Chiang Mai found the darker, tastier version for sale up in Chiang Mai?

T_Dog I also think Khao Lahm from Nong Mon Chonburi is the best.

Is this one good enough?

Don't know if worth the trip to Chiang Dao.

For good Khao Lahm, it is definitely worth a trip to Chiang Dao. But.... the photos do not show the same blackened cane, carmelized look of the Southeastern style. Are you sure it is as good?
