May 16, 200917 yr If you have a work contract for a specific time, can it be terminated by either parties? I assume yes when both parties agree. But what happens if one party doesn't agree? Can you be fired for whatever reason or can your employer decide to cut your salary singlehandedly? Just curious.
May 16, 200917 yr Beleive in that case you are entitld to severence pay. There is a thread on that in the teaching section. Note that the labour office is there to help you when you have problems. It is their job and they seem to be good at it, they will contact your employer and if necesarry help you to go to court.
May 16, 200917 yr Depends on the notice term in the contract as to when you can be terminated or resign. Employer can't reduce your stated salary except for legal taxes etc.
