Hi,

I have come across a tax issue. I am going to purchase sms-credit from Singapore vendor which allow me to send the sms text cross the countries.

The payment will be pay from Thailand to Singapore.

Is there any tax on this kind of trade, such as withholding tax ?

Thanks.

Withholding Tax, yes.

Check with your accountant but it should be 15%.

A foreign company not carrying on business in Thailand but deriving

certain types of income from Thailand such as service fees, interests,

dividends, rents or professional fees may be subject to CIT on the gross

amount received. It is collected in the form of withholding tax by which the

payer of income shall deduct the tax from the income at the rate shown

in the table under ‘Withholding taxes’ below (‘tax rates – payments to non

resident countries’). A foreign company engaged in international transport

is also only subject to tax on its gross receipts.

Thanks for reply.

I am currently running a local company in Thailand involving in advertising and marketing.

Thus, the payment will be from Thailand local company to Singapore's company.

I am still wondering is there any exemption on the taxes ?
