Portable Hard Drive - Macron Model Dc2241

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hope someone can help me out. For some reason I cannot access my hard drive at all. My MACRON is both a card reader and a hard drive, but I haven't been able to access the hard drive since this morning. I have tried using a different usb cable, different computer, changing the battery and nothing has helped. It hasn't been dropped or exposed to water. I have attached a photo of the unit.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Regards

Makyai

When you plug-in the cable, did you see pop-up said "new hardware found" ?

if not perhap the external box not function. What you can do it take out your HDD and see what kind of the interface IDE or SATA. Then go to buy the new external box should cost you 400-500 baht. Place your HDD in the new box and see you can get all your data back.

I agree with blackkopee.

GetDataBackForNTFS is great data recovery software.

Walk it into a local PC store - get them to test it for ya on one of their 'known good' machines

Make sure they can open ya data folders also

Often USB ports go away due current (power) demands on local machines

If its the caddy, its real easy
