Pattaya sees rise in independent Chinese tourists amid decline in group tours

Driving out the third ring road from Sansai to Mae Rim [before Ping river], I passed a new large super hardware store that was just opened. It's huge..looks like same size floor area as 'global' and was wondering if anyone has been in there and can make comparisons with the old global....prices, brands, hard to get items or just the same old stuff, like home mart???

I didn't realize that it was open until mid-June. I'll have to visit this weekend.

Wasn't open last week and they look like they still had their work cut out. It is indeed massive and ideal for those living in Land & Houses, Mae Jo, Mae Rim, San Sai.

Drove by just a couple of days ago and it didn't look close to being ready to open.

Passing Global House I saw that it has now re-opened after the fire that destroyed the previous store.

I believe it is called Home Mall; opened 2 days ago on Rd. 121 just West of 1007.

I went in today to check it out, it is huge inside, however only partially stocked: A salesperson told me to come back in a month when they should be fully ready.

Looks and feels more like Global House than Home Pro.
