Local Vpn Reseller - Anyone?

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I am looking for a local (i.e. Panthip-based) reseller of VPN services. To be precise, i need a VPN connection with a server in the U.S. A.

We have previously used ThaiClass but they don't offer that service anymore (it was a StrongVPN account) and all the ones who offer it online require credit cards or other online payment methods which in turn require credit cards. No credit card available!

Does anyone here know a shop/company where one can get a StrongVPN or similar account and pay in cash..?

Many thanks in advance for advice.

Kind regards.....

Thanh

You mean something like this ?

If you bank with Kasikorn, you can go in and get an online card number (they call it a K-Web Shopping Card). Works good for me. Plus you can link it to google checkout; opening stores to ship to you in Thailand...

Dave, that online card number...is it Visa/Mastercard or the like? And is it connected to your bank account (ie. works like a debit card?)

Visa. In fact they've started up a VBV (verified by Visa) and even give you that 3 digit code that's on the back of a plastic card.

Hi.

Yes, something like that. But that particular one once again only via credit card or PayPal (which also requires a card). I need one with local agent that accept cash payments.

@dave_boo

I don't bank with Kasikorn and anyway am looking for a cash payment solution only.

Kind regards.....

Thanh, are you still looking or did you get a solution?

It may be possible that I know someone who can help you if this is still an issue. I think it could be handled by Western Union, though that might make it more expensive for you.

Hi.

I've gotten a StrongVPN again (www.strongvpn.com) and worked out the payment method with them (they have more options than stated on their website, you can contact them via e-mail but expect a delay of 2-3 days with replies). The server was never down since and is working flawlessly without slowing things down.

You can set up your VPN within windows and connect to your VPN server in the states. This way you have full access to the network you were connected to as if you were in the office there. Is that what you want?> You dont need to buy any special service in Thailand to connect to a VPN enabled network in the states

It's monthly price seems to be about twice that of HotspotVPN and StrongVPN though. Is there a reason that it's worth the extra money?
