Queue counter will provide ticket to counter 4 in main hall when you advise new passport/transfer stamp. Counter 4 will advise of requirements for photo copies if you don't have and tell you to go to room 101. No sign in 101 you you have to ask someone - if they know they will tell you to self label/queue your passport on the desk for returning 30 day under consideration extension of stay applicants at the entry door area. On the wall they have procedure for extension of stay judgments and new passports are now subject to those requirements. Deposit 0830-1200 and pickup 1400. Deposit after 1300 and pickup after 1600. But they don't say it is not at that desk and if you ask they say building 2, which nobody seems to really know where it is. In fact it is a sala area directly behind the main hall immigration desks - so you exit and turn right to end of building and walk back about 20 meters and up steps to the sala area which has a few blue plastic chairs - nobody there until 1400 arrives and girl with basket of passports arrives.

So if you have a Bangkok extension of stay and want new passport transfer copy normal pages of old passport/arrival card (as you do for extension of stay) plus a copy of new passport ID page and form asking for the transfer. You can go directly to room 101 and leave in basket/keeping the second queue number and return at the designated time to the sala area for pickup.
