May 30, 200917 yr I am leaving Thailand for a couple of months and will not be coming back with the same work permit from company I work with presently. I received my work permit in Bangkok. What do I need to do with my present work permit before I leave? Anything else I need to do? Any help or info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Why don't you pop down to CM Immigration on Monday and talk to them. You might not get much help here when all the details ,of your particular problem, are not known. I am sure they will sort it out for you and its official.
May 30, 200917 yr Whatever you do, don't ever "forget" to turn it in if you ever intend to work in Thailand. They do not forget - ever !
May 30, 200917 yr You have to turn in the permit when you stop working for the company that it is for. They have a paper that you can fill out. Takes about 10 minutes. I'm not sure if you have to go to the issuing office or if it can be done at any office.
May 31, 200917 yr Since March of last year you no longer have to turn in your workpermit. You can just leave.
May 31, 200917 yr As said there is no more turn-in but if you are on an extension of stay rather than a 90 day visa entry you need to obtain employment letter of termination and present that at Immigration to cancel your extension of stay on last paid day of work.
