Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I am going to Thailand in the summer for 37days. I plan to leave thailand and go to cambodia for a few days. I am unsure what type of visa I need to get. Do I have to go and apply for a 60 day visa in london or can I get a 30 day visa on arrival and then get another when i re enter thailand? Also if I am leaving thailand for a few days does this mean I need to get a visa with multiple entries? Cheers.

You should have a visa if you are not flying out of Thailand within 30 days. Entry from Cambodia will be 15 days if by land or 30 days if by air so it depends on your plans if you will need a two entry visa or if you can get by with visa exempt stamp for your time in Thailand after Cambodia trip.

You could do it with visa exempt entries but you would need a ticket out of the country within 30 days.

A single entry tourist visa would be fine is you only plan a short stay in Thailand after you go to Cambodia because if you are traneling overland you will only get 15 days when you enter at a border crossing.

I suggest you get your visa at one of the honorary consulates instead of the embassy in London. The give better service and accept mail in applications.

See this webpage for contact info for the conulates, http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/newversion.../visa_inst.html
