Woman Dies After She Drinks Toilet Cleaner And Slashes Her Neck

Featured Replies

Rescue Workers were called to the Kong Dee Apartments in Soi Yensabai, South Pattaya on Thursday Morning to deal with a woman who had apparently slit her throat. Inside room number 17, Khun Piyawan aged 34 was lying on the floor and was covered in blood. The cut across her throat was so severe that her windpipe was exposed. She had also ingested half a bottle of toilet cleaning fluid. She was rushed to Hospital but later died from her injuries. Khun Samran aged 34, the victim’s roommate explained that Khun Piyawan had recently split up with her Middle-Eastern Boyfriend and since then, she fell into a deep depression and suggested she would take her life if he did not return. The victim, who worked at a Beer Bar in an area well known for bars catering for middle-eastern tourists, had earlier went to the toilet and ingested the liquid and then slashed her neck with a meat cleaver while her roommate was watching television in the main living area. Police are investigating.

Pattaya One News

Seems to be quite a common method of suicide for Thai girls - drinking toilet cleaner etc. What an asoulutely excrutiatingly painfull way to go.

I hope she found the peace she was lacking in her life. To slash one's own throat deep enough to expose the windpipe requires great determination. RIP, K. Piyawan!
