Does anybody have any idea of where I might be able to get hold the USB drivers for a ZyXEL 900 series cable modem? I think its a P-971m I have searched high and low and I can't find it anywhere.

On the subject of ZyXEL 900 series, can some someone tell me how to get to the setup page. I watched the Tech do it, but when I type "http://192.168.100.1" into the browser, which should be the default, it times out. Maybe I should have watched the guy closer:)

The service is working fine, but I don't like leaving the default pw's on things.

Open a Command Prompt window, run the IPCONFIG utility.

Make note of the Default Gateway (should be 192.168.x.x). Input this into your browser address bar and you're good to go.

Should have mentioned that I already tried that, default gateway is "172.21.16.1". Which returns a blank page, so true has done something to keep customers from playing with the equipment.

Thanks,

I know this is off topic a little, but it is not a good idea to buy usb modems for internet.

The ethernet connection is so much simpler and avoids the need for special drivers.

172.21.16.1 << can't say I've seen this one before :)

Have you tried 192.168.1.1:8080 (if it still doesn't work, omit the port number at the end).

Yea, tried all that. True has changed the defaults. Thought someone might have some inside info on what they normally did. It's not really a big deal, everything works. Just curious what they've done.

172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 is another 'private' IP network same as 192.168... and 10...
