A Radical Experiment: How Elon Musk Could Shake Up Washington
Elon is a smart cookie, and Vivek is no slug. But the Washington swamp is deep and treacherous. They need to come up with a plan that is so quick and effective, that the swamp monsters don't have time to react or wreak vengeance. Something along the lines of a blitzkrieg attack - a full court press across multiple fronts that prevents the various swamp creatures and TLA agencies from helping to defend each other and bog the two Likely Lads down in litigation. I have no idea what that might look like. Maybe something as simple as disabling all the access cards and cellphones of a selected 80% of government employees at 02:59 on a Sunday. Whatever they do, they have to wreak instant havoc in every department to avoid being devoured by the swamp. -

Pete Hegseth-Sec Def Nominee
Actually the CEO of a large Defense Contractor would have relevant experience to run the DOD. A good chunk of the annual defense budget ($800 Billion) is spent on contracts to the various defense contractors. Awarding of contracts is a big part of the business of the DOD. The DOD is run like a business. Government does not make anything. What they need is actually purchased from companies. The extent of Hegseth's leadership experience is an army platoon leader. At best he was in charge of 30 to 50 soldiers. If confirmed he would lead an agency with close to 2 million military, civilian and contractors. Scaling up be an understatement. Yes, the DOD needs change but I doubt Hegseth is the right man for the job. But with the Republicans in charge of the senate he might get confirmed. -

Ah! Conspiracy theories. Funny you mention that as conspiracy theories in relation to covid are no longer conspiracy theories. Do you still think SARS-CoV-2 is zoonotic and originated in a wet market? Remember saying that it originated in the Wuhan lab was deemed a conspiracy theory and any mention that this was the case was censored as such. Now it's the overwhelmingly accepted that the Wuhan lab was indeed the source of the outbreak. -
