I recently set up a Thai Co Ltd and paid the first paychecks last month. According to the accounting firm I use, I should pay 5% per employee (with a 750B/person ceiling) to the social security fund. I thought that the employer had to contribute the same amount as the employees every month...?

You are correct - 5% withheld, with matching amount contributed by employer. Maximum withholding per employee is 750 baht, with matching 750 baht company contribution.

Cheers!

Ok, thanks, that is what I suspected.

I sometimes wonder why I hire 'professionals' to do these kind of things when 50% of the time they mess up...
