Paradise Bungalow Patong Beach

Featured Replies

I use to live in Patong back in the 80's. Move after it became a major tourist trap, but I use to keep in touch with Bruce and Bill from the Paradise Bungalows on the beach road. I have not been able to find out what happened to Bill after the tsunami. Did he make it through it OK and have they rebuilt the Paradise? I know Bruce had moved to Krabi many years ago, but I had lost contact with Bill. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, as I recall their lease was due to expire on New Years Eve, I think 2000. I saw Bill in Swampy airport a couple years ago, in a wheel chair, waiting to go visit Oregon with a Thai daughter.

I'm afraid I no longer have your email address.

Regards,

Bill went to live in Bangkok, maybe he's gone home due to ill health.

Bruce is still here in Phuket.

Hi,

i used to stay there a lot as well but from "95 onwards.

The lease ran out on the place around 2002 or so.

Bill is in BKK last i heard a few years ago.

Bruce hasa new resort on the lake in Kanchaburi.

I've not seen Bruce since the cloing down of Paradise bar.

Now just a T shirt shop and Tailors.
