June 26, 200917 yr Hi, I've got a Mitusbishi Triton Plus (manual) and recently I've noticed a lot of vibration noise from the back end. It happens when the truck is at low RPM in first and (especially) second gear. I do have a carryboy sport lid on the back but I don't think that this is the problem as it shuts solidly and has rubber lining all round. If I slip the gearstick into neurtal the noise goes away immediately. I found a site that mentions "torsional harmonic vibration" : http://www.dynadroitclutches.com/vibration_damper.html but am not really clear on what's going on. Should I take it back to the service centre and get them to check it out or is there a quick fix I'm unaware of? Thanks.
