Non Immi O Changes Agaian For 2010

Featured Replies

hi all, sorry if this has already been said before but i cant be bothered reading multiple posts to find out.

I just applied for 1 year renewal for non o visa, based on marriage to my thai wife. I do mine based on her having the minimum required 40k baht per month income but was told today by the boss herself at immi sriracha that this option will no longer be accepted next year (could still use it thsi year though). The income will have to be from the farang or have the 400k baht in farang bank account only for at least 2 months before applying. i better start saving!

cheers

Yes. The rule changed on November 25th. Now has to be the Husbands money/income.

You applied for a one year extension of stay for family reasons and the current requirement is 40k per month income for foreigner or 400k in bank account 2 months (3 months if not first time). So if you had the extension last year under the 40k Thai income old rule this year they can allow an exception but next year you will have to have the 40k or 400k in bank account for three months.

The Rule is 2 months but some Immigration Offices are insisting on three.
