Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know where I can find the cheapest flights from Newark, NJ to Bangkok? I plan to travel around Christmas time. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you.

I go to bt-store.com myself,not bad.There are many .Try justfares.com

my last flight into Newark I took EVA air, Not sure how much for ecomny. I flew Bussiness it was a little over $2000.

You can check Delta, nit sure they have any flights from Newark, but I know from Tampa they have some cheap flgihts about $1K.

My friend flies China air, they suck, always late but cheap.

Hope this helps

If you fly that EVA route again in business, brace yourself for a coronary on the airfare. It's increased significantl. However, the office manager in NYC told me that they have some preferred agents that can get a deal as EVA removed those deals from the internet. If you call EVA they can suggest the agents. (I know because, I used a crap booking engine 1 1/2 years ago "cheapo" and it pulled a bait and switch. EVA was kind enough to help fix the problem.}

The China Airlines routing is the same as EVA (through Anchorage) but buy is there a difference in service according to all the consumer feedback websites. DL will use China Airlines via LAX. Sometime you can get a good deal with AA using Korean.

I suggest you check out the routes for an idea of possibilities first using orbitz. Rather than roundtrips, look at flying 2 trips, i.e. EWR - BKK and BKK-EWR. You'll be shocked by the cost savings and the variations of routings and airlines available.

Note too that Qatar sometimes has a seat sale, so keep your eyes open for that.

I am not slamming the other websearch engines, just that Orbitz strength is asian routes. Expedia, Travelocity Vayama don't have the inventory or volume.

Note to that cheaptickets is the sister site of Orbitz and Hotwire is the subsite for Expedia. All of the other search engines end up going back into one of the airline alliance websites like sabre, so the number of websites is sort of misleading. You're really only dealing with 2 major ticket booking engines when you get down to the real searches.

Last May I flew to BKK from JFK with JAL the fair was reasonable, $ 800 and change total , I don't remember the exact amount, the service was great and I would certainly use them again. To search for the best airfare I use http://www.travelzoo.com/ the website allows you to input your search criteria one time and search all the different Airfare websites.

Good luck
