Hi!

I am a long time reader of the forum, first time poster.

I am a Australian who has visited Thailand a fair few times, love the country, the people, the atmosphere! I usually travel in June or July (Just got back from a 2 week trip in July).

I plan to go again in October but was curious if anyone could see any reason why this might not be a good time to go. I enjoy the night life of Patong, and the daily activites such as the 4X4 ATV, Rock climbing at Phi Phi, the beach's and the shooting range's.

I dont believe October would be any different but was curious what the people on the forum thought!

Cheers

Joel

Straight off the top of my head without giving it much thought I would say October is probably better than June/July. Almost end of rain season and therefore more chance of better weather.

oh, it's gonna rain and when it does, it's gonna rain hard. but, you will not be affected much. i've said it many times on this board, it doesn't matter when you come visit us, it's always warm enough for beer.

but yeah, it gon' rain.

4X4 and Rock Climbing is just more fun in the rain! :)

By the sounds of it, the bars and all that should still be going strong as well... Love Patongs night life..!

I have always preferred the northern hemisphere fall as opposed to spring bias. Maybe simply because its nearer the summer rather than the winter. Rain does not bother me - in fact I welcome it as it is always so refreshing in Thailand.

Have a ball when ya here!!
