BODY OF BRUTALLY MURDERED WOMAN FOUND DUMPED IN CENTRAL PATTAYA

On the 6th July 2009 the dead body of an unidentified Thai woman was found packed into a fertilizer bag, and dumped in some bushes in Central Pattaya. Police suspect the woman was murdered by someone who knew her well and a special team has been assigned to hunt down the killer(s).

The body was discovered by a garbage collector, who immediately told a motorbike taxi to report to the police. Police were notified at 10:00 am, and under the leadership of investigator Police Lieutenant Colonel Sumran Kumwattana, a police team rushed to the scene, near the Pattaya Park Condo in Soi Nokkao, Moo 9, Central Pattaya. They were also joined by the Sawangboriboon foundation team and a medical team from the Banglamung hospital.

In a recycled chemical fertilizer bag, which is often used in crimes of this nature, police found a double black garbage bag which contained the body of an unknown Thai female aged 30 – 40. She was wearing a dark green blouse, red sport pants and black underpants. Her hair was coloured blonde and she was wearing a ring on her right ring finger. Her nails were painted red and she had a tattoo on her left ankle.

Her neck, wrists and ankles were tied with shoe-laces and she had multiple wounds covering her face and body. Police said this was a particularly brutal murder and she must have suffered terribly before she died. Police suspect that 2-3 people were involved in the attack, and Police Colonel Teerapol Jindaloung told reporters that she had been dead for about 1 week before being dumped in the bush.

This is a challenging case for the authorities and a special team has been set up to track down the killers. The police, however, have assured that they will clear up this case as soon as possible.

Slow-down, Pal;I have lived here happilly for nearly 18 years and have never encountered anything to put me'on edge'. In fact; the sailng's great, the restaurants fantastic, the shopping unbelievable ad there are even a number of brilliant second-hand book shops here. With a few rare exceptions, none of the above mentioned catagories over-charges: try and compare those attributes to any other place on this earth . . . . .

News Update From Pattaya Daily News Website Regarding This Story

BOYFRIEND CONFESSES TO MURDER OF WOMAN FOUND DUMPED IN PATTAYA BUSHES

On the 7th July 2009 Pattaya police arrested the boyfriend of the woman whose dead body was found dumped in some bushes in Central Pattaya, as reported on PDN on 6th July.

In our previous report we quoted police as stating it was a particularly brutal murder and she must have suffered terribly before she died. Police also suspect that 2-3 people were involved in the attack, and Police Colonel Teerapol Jindaloung told reporters that she had been dead for about 1 week before being dumped in the bush.

However, at 1.00 pm on 7th July the police were contacted by Miss Roongnapa Srimongkol [36], residing at 50/484, Pattaya Roongreung Village, Moo. 5. She said she worked in a bar near the Pattaya police station. She heard that the police were looking for her but she did not go to work on that day. After hearing about the story in the media, she then went to see the police suspecting that the dead woman was her elder sister.Under the guidance of Police Lieutenant Colonel Chonapat Nawaluk, Miss Roongnapa looked at photos of the victim, and identified the deceased as her sister, 38-year-old Oil Srimongkol, originally from U-taithani province.

Miss Roongnapa told police that Miss Oil had been living with her boyfriend at a house with no number located in the Cheunrak Inn hotel area, Moo. 9, Nongprue.

Acting on this information the police went to the house and arrested Mr. Boonma, or Toy, (43). Mr. Toy, a garbage collector from Roi-Et, admitted to killing Miss Oil.

According to one source, he said that she had come back from seeing another ‘husband’ in Nakornsawan on the afternoon of the 4th July. They started to have an argument, because they needed to buy Yah Bah and she had returned from her trip with no money. In the ensuing fight he grabbed a wooden hoe handle and hit her on the back of the neck. Then, at the back of his house in broad daylight, he wrapped up her body in some plastic bags and put her on his cart. He then took the cart to go collecting garbage until it was so full he had to dump her body in some bushes. After that Mr. Toy carried on with his work as if nothing had happened until the police arrested him.

Miss Roongnapa said her sister had two boyfriends. She went to see the one in Nakornsawan only once in a while and every time she came back with 10,000 baht. This time she came back on the 4th July with no money. She added that this may be why her sister was killed or maybe due to jealousy.

However, another source reported that Mr. Toy confessed that he killed Miss Oil because she had asked him for 2000 baht to buy Yah Bah to which she had been addicted for a long time. He told her that he could not keep giving her money for drugs anymore. According to Mr. Toy, the argument became heated to the point that he lost his temper. He grabbed a wooden stick and hit her very hard and she died instantly which shocked him as he did not mean to kill her. He then put her body into a motorbike sidecar and dumped her where she was later discovered by the police.

Mr. Toy has been charged with murder.
