astral
I have been using a programme called Classic Media Player. It does not need any dll's and can be run straight from the file. Great for all video formats, including MPEG2. UNTIL this weekend. I downloaded the latest set of Windows upgrades including one for Windows Media Player (Q828026). Imagine my surprise when my video files played updside down and inverted left to right as well. WELL DONE MICROSOFT. You can remove the fix. Just go to your Control Panel and Remove Progarmmes. penzman
I've just reinstalled everything on my PC, XP Pro SP2. Is it me or Media Player 9 sucks? Audio cd's and some .wav files seem to freeze temporarily on playback now...

chanchao
> Is it me or Media Player 9 sucks? Get Media Player 10. It's really quite nice. I mostly use it for playing just about everything. The MP3 songs/tags database is also improved a lot.

Actually I had Penzman's problem with earlier versions, but not now.
