Last time I was in BKK I stayed at the famous Atlanta Hotel which I had stayed in previously.

First time I stayed there (around 1999) I loved it, especially the old style lobby and pool. The staff were particularly friendly and warm.

Second time I stayed there (a year ago) it seemed like a different place, the staff never smiled and it seemed quite unfriendly. I was quite happy to leave that place.

I will be staying again for a few nights next month. My question is, is there a similar cheapish friendly place in Sukhumvit without the sleaze?

Woraburi on Soi4/soi ulit almost at the end of Soi4 before it goes into the tobacco exchange, stayed there many times over the years friendly staff don't know the cost now.

I think this hotel is one of the only low budget hotel that does not allow joiners

seriously, try the Ibis deep into soi 4, they have a promotion running for 1100B

Or the Swiss Park soi 11, promotion at 1170B
