I'm sure the haircut takes preference over any oral skills. :o

Personally I don't seek out those lowe Sukhumvit barbers.. Mostly tourist-town 'with extras'.. I Skytrain up to On Nut or something.

just a haircut but better if they understand what your askin for.

Unless your bald i think its safe to assume if you went into a hairdressers they would grasp you needed a (pom tat) haircut.

Probably better if you ask for a tat pom, otherwise you'll end up cutting your own hair

there is a good barbershop on soi ekkamai , across the road from the entrance to tai ping towers condo , on the same side as and just past the petrol station.

thai guy , small shop , does men and women , speaks english , about 300b. he is quick and good , and you wont come out looking like a schoolboy , military cadet , or mullet mopped seventies porn star.(unless you specify those styles)

Lek Barber on an alley between Soi 3 and Soi 3/1, next to a hookah bar. Shave with straight razor and good haircut, 300 baht.

Convenient for me, cut and shave the way I want. Ask for Lek herself.

I'd be careful with the earhole cleaning. That's a vector for blood-transmitted diseases, as is manicure/pedicure.

I don't recall on Soi 6 or 8 - but on Soi 10 there is one shop. when you turn into this soi from Sukhumvit - on the right side is that area with wall and on the left hand is a building which is first right after that corner gold shop building. I can't remember what shops there are now - there used to be massage shop and internet - now it's changed. so you have to go BEHIND this first building as I remember there were few companies there, one of them something related to computers or software, and some indian mini mart - and between them there is barber shop - on the left from indian mart. I had hair cut there once last year - was ok. I don't remember exactly how good their English level was though. but that woman did decent job. my friend who lived on Soi 10 for few years told me he didn't even know there is barber shop there - that he always went to Siam square or elsewhere. I was just lazy to go that far .... :o after all - hair will grow up soon - what difference it makes where to cut - the nearest shop was more preferable to me.... so, may be this info would help....

300 baht for an haircut !  :D

In China town you can get a hairwash, haircut, shave, and your earholes cleaned for 100 baht.

well, if saving is an issue - around Phra Khanong and On Nut area - and even not far from Emporium, there are plenty of places where it costs 50 or even 40 Baht. can go by some small green bus - no aircon nor fan - up-down 7 Baht - all together 57 Baht :o

but if this guy lives on Soi 6 - what's the point for him go that far, especially to China town ? up-down trip would cost him more than these 100 Baht ! :D unless he takes bus #40 (no air con - fan only) up down - then it would be 10 Baht trip + 100 = 110 Baht for barber service and scenic exciting trip through stuffy bangkok traffic jams to busy China town (although shouldn't he rather speak Chinese there to barber instead of English ?) :D BUT would he be willing to go that far ?

let's hear more suggestions for saving options ! :D

Heres a few. Don't follow suggestions from posters that tell you to shop on the Sukhumvit stalls for DVD's, or knock of clothing & watches. A scenic exciting trip through stuffy bangkok traffic jams, will take you to places such as Chatuchak market, or Pratanum, or even Chinatown where you might want to have a cheap haircut. :o

There is a barbers right near Nana station inbetween 8 and 10 (I think) If you walk down the exit from Skytrain on the same side of the road but the opposite exit to Landmark Hotel (if that makes sense), it's just there.

Haircut is 200 baht and it's a proper Western haircut. All the girls speak good english, all are stunningly beautiful and all wear sexy red uniforms.

I've been having my wig trimmed there for ages :o

Yes I can recommend a good barber. My shop Soi 24 Sukumvit beside emporium side entrance. Terminal cabin Shop Bldg, 1FL Capatain Beauty Salon.

I don't cut hair but one of my three girls will.

We also do shaves, manicure, pedicure, colour, etc. checkout www.captainbeauty.homestead.com for all the details.

Oh and yes I speak English.

I think your refering to a place called 'friends' hair shop. Just next door to BKK Bank between soi 10 & 8 on Sukhumvit Road. Pretty together operation, fast and convenient. The girl has owned it for at least 4 years but it used to be in the Soi 10 beer bar complex.
