Extradited from Thailand

Featured Replies

I have been extradited from Thailand. Not deported. I had no case in Thailand.

Does anyone know if extradited persons are persona non grata in Thailand ??

What were you extradited for? If it was a criminal charge, I'd say it's a safe bet the Thai authorities will still view it as a 'bad farang deported' case... And not want you back.

MFA regulations on not being issued a visa in part:

(6) Having been imprisoned by the judgement of the Thai Court; or by a lawful injunction; or by the judgement of the Court of foreign country, except when the penalty is for petty offense or negligence or is provided for as an exception in the Ministerial Regulations.

If they had to go through the extradition process rather than you leaving of your own accord I would not expect a welcome mat to be out in these days of computer records.

What stamp did you get on your passport when you left Thailand?

There is no stamp in my passport

There is no stamp in my passport. In fact I am mainly required by the Dutch cord as a withness. An invitation letter the Dutch procecuter once send to me in Thailand has never reached me.

The whole case is complicated but very minor and for me no sentence is expected.

If you have no exit stamp in your pasport then technically you are still here.

You are now probably overstaying your visa. TiT

very Harsh Pat

Extraditition is not done for nothing. It means two Dutch cops coming to escort him back to Holland to face whatever he is up for. They won't be doing that for nothing.

same old story --very limited info ,then a plea to the thai visa members, on ways to bail him out--

--i think that these sort of crims are polluting a once great society :o

In a civilized world you are not guilty and no criminal as long as you are a suspect and not yet plead guilty. Could I be the victem of a hysterical procecuter?

Yes I am.... You don't believe me ,.....I ''ll keep you posted.

You talk like a person from the moon. Is that what you call your great society ?

You better think twice before you write down this kind of nonsens.

hmmmmmm, same old same old, you lot have already hung him even though he hasnt been convicted yet.

although he must have done something really bad to get extradited :o

To be Extradited is reason enough to consider your situation to be very serious. As some of the posters have already pointed out, if the Thai Authorities had to goto the trouble of locating you/dealing with authorities from another country regarding you, then its probably fair to say you are persona non grata in Thailand.

I dont think the Thai Immigration would be too concerned if your guilty or not, or if you've been charged or not. Things dont work like that here,

I guess the simplist way for you to find out would be to contact the Thai embassy in your home country, or maybe apply for a visa there. It would be somewhat disturbing to travel all the way to Thailand (presuming your not incarserated) only to be turned away at the airport.

Extradition is an order of Court. The Hollanders had to produce sufficient evidence to convince a Court of the probability of guilt to get that order.

is this mass murderer being extradited from holland to thailand or from thailand to holland. ? there seems to be some confusion.

In the eye of the law every man is honest and innocent, unless it be proved legally to the contrary.

Nevertheless, should the cord plea me guilty, the penanty will not exeed 4000,= Euro. !!!! Or 3 weeks behind bars !!!!

christ , even in holland child murderers get lighter sentences than that ,

what terrible crime are you accused of ??

Why dont you spell out in great detail why you were extradited so we can make an informed judgement. with the info provided, I would say forget about coming back to Thailand

I suspect the reason is because the offence is one which would not make us ameniable to helping him.

Were you provided with a Police escort on the flight back to Holland ?

Apply for a visa in your country rather than showing up for a visa on arrival.

Maybe this will flush out an answer for you.
