Thank you Chanthas for the info, and congratulations on obtaining your sv.

May I ask how long it took to receive once submitted? and was your wife or yourself called for an interview? My Thai wife has submitted her application in May and we're anxiously waiting to know what's happening.

Congrats on the Set Visa Chanthas.

Looks like a long list of demands there, pity the British Government does not ask for the same when all these Immigrants apply for Asylum in the UK.

Enjoy,the taxes,and the Labour Government :)

hello there jammie

you might want to check out the other thread about settlement visa to the uk which is running, this might give you a general time frame,

on current s v application at present,

as to my wifes sv it took about 12 week 4 day to recieve.also there was no interveiw,or phone call to ourselfs from the embassy reguarding our application.

late last year my wife applied for a Visit Visa and this was granted in two days from putting in the relevant paperwok,

but this year it seems to be a lot longer wait.

Oh ok.. no interview :) ... I had thought interviews were a certainty, but I guess it depends on the individuals situation.

My wife had been refused a vistor visa on previous occasions, so I guess they may want to interrogate her over her change in circumstances.

I read this on the UKVAC-TH site:-

02 June 2009: Delay in application process Please note that due to a surge in applications non-settlement applications are now taking between 4-6 weeks to process and settlement applications 12 weeks. Applications already submitted are being cleared on the basis of date due to travel. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these delays

thankyou once again Chanthas.
