True offers several packages. If your fixed line is from True and you have either a TrueVisions or a TrueMove subscription, the prices in the right-hand column apply. All prices are subject to 7% VAT. I use the 4Mbps overseas/5 Mbps local package and I'm satisfied. Note that not every line will support 8Mbps speed - mine doesn't.

^^^ ^^^ It sure looks like Maxnet sucks. :)

Can I get the True 1299 deal with my TOT line?

(dumb question?)

To the best of my knowledge I trust you can't receive True service on a TOT line but it should be possible to use ISP CSloxinfo on TOT land line!

The latter seems to be available in your area. You are not bound to TOT as an ISP.

Maybe some members can give more background information

I pay TOT about 117 baht a month line rental and I have 1024/512 internet from TRUE which is about 690 a month - my TRUE package is now also the sat dish/decoder , and sim card for about 400 baht more a month - not totally sure of the details as the ADSL is all I care about.

I think all the moobarn is TOT lines as the telephone marshalling box is just across the road from my place and it has TOT spraypainted on it - all the various companies service vigos pull up at it - it is unlocked of course :) , and I have been tempted.

I have a TOT line, rental is 110.21 baht month, with Tax [103baht B4 Tax]

ADSL from True 3m/512 is 640.83 baht per month with the Tax [599baht B4 tax]

To get this Service I need 3 services from True, so I have a True mobile sim card which I have never used and cost 89 baht per month..

So have home phone line, ADSL and Sim Card = TrueMove

Last Result:

Download Speed: 2937 kbps (367.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 430 kbps (53.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

TEST TIME:: Thursday July 23, 2009, 08:36 AM

Edit: have been with True for over 5years, [6years 1st October] and there Service + Customer Service is outstanding, [puts BT in the UK to shame]

Thanks, Ignis & Stu :)

On paper it looks like Ignis has the better deal?

3mb as against 1mb for Stu, or am I missing something?

Do you supply yr own wifi router/modem?

I'm in a large, 2 storey house, 2 laptops and 2 PCs

Pospaid or prepaid? I'm happy with pre-paid.

The ToT line is in the house owner's name here.

Cheers

I have my own Router as PC + 2x Laptops + 2x Dreamboxes...... 5 odd years ago True did supply a ADSL modem...

Signed a contract for 1 year, if they have a better promotion I phone or pop in and sign another contract

my modem was supplied by true many years ago - I have it bridged and use a wrt54gl running tomato to control it.

my modem is negotiating 2048 with the DSLAM but I have not speed tested for a while

overall I have been quite happy with my TRUE ADSL - some hiccups over the years

and as always I suggest you replace the phone cable from the street to your outlets in the house - at 5 baht per metre it can save you all sorts of inherited trouble.
