I should add that if their stay will be for more than 15 days, they may have to either apply for a seven day extension afterwards or simply apply for a Tourist Visa whilst in Singapore at the RTE there.

What they should have done is to apply for a Double Entry Tourist Visa whilst still in India.

It will depend on how long they stay each time. The Visa on arrival requires that they leave the country within 15 days and have proof in the form of an airline ticket out of the country within those 15 days.

Really? How did this Triple Entry Tourist Visa appear in my passport?

I hope you mean 'didn't think', rather than 'don't think'.
