* "youse" : Bronx, New York English for "you"

* "Toots de Short" : pseudonym for a character, an midget airport lounge singer on his last legs, in an unwritten novel by ~o:37 : pun on French "tout de suite," and indirect reference to the famous restauranteur and raconteur Toots Shor of the American 1940's and 1950's, a bon vivant with a very sharp wit and mouth on him.

* "fagedda" : Bronx, New York English for "forget about" also used in Mafia lingo

* "dem" : Black American Southern English slang contraction for "them"

Pity you don't translate more of your posts!!  Worth thinking about?

BTW 'youse' is also part of the Scouse language, but is used as the plural of 'you', which makes sense really.

Well scousers think it makes sense..

Dey do dough don't dee!!

I thought 'youse' meant 2 or more girlie sheep. Very popular for Kiwi and Welsh orgies.

Funny. You put me in mind of a Far Side cartoon. A bear, seen through a gun's sight, is looking directly back through the sight at the hunter, with an ingratiating grin on his face, as he points helpfully toward another, oblivious bear standing next to him.

So now we know what you should have been typing, but what we don't know is what you were thinking about to cause such confusion! Soap powder, I imagine.

So sorry we didn't get together today, Paul.

Poor timing to be down health-wise - I missed Friday at Tuskers to visit with friends and now today with you.

All my best, as always, for your birthday my friend!

da Ken
