hi guys

I have my own company and work permit, I have around 100,000 baht deposit and would like to buy a car for around 400,000, so I need to borrow from a bank around 300,000.

does anyone know of the "best" bank to approach for a loan?

I hear bank loans are better interest than car finance so would prefer to do it this way

also what are the criteria for the loan applicant ie

how long the company needs to have been established for?

how many million baht capital needed?

how long the applicant needs to have worked for this company for?

any other info?

any help or suggestions appreciated!

thanks

Ben

Varies, just go to three or four banks and see what they want.

ok thanks!

but is it simple or hard to get a small loan for a car?

Most banks demand that you have a "Thai guarantor"; however, I succeeded in getting 65% finance on a new Honda Civic from Tisco Bank without such a guarantor.

With a bank, I can almost assure you, you will not get the loan in your name, you have no credit history, and typically Thai banks have a "hard time" lending to Farangs.

Go talk to Thanachart or Tisco, you enough deposit against the price of the car, you will need a Thai Guarator certainly, Deposit and Thai co-signature are the only requirements.
