Sheryl
The standard traditional Thai massage will work quite well for lymphedema.Tthe edema will recur, of course, but that is true no matter what type of massage is used and the underlying cause, if not known, should be determined and addressed. Places offering traditional Thai massage are all over but quality varies enormously. For assurance of a properly trained masseur/masseuse, reasonable cost and no "funny business", can go to any government Health center or hospital, they all provide it, altho in the case of the HCs sometimes not everyday, for example in my locality it is 3 days a week, MWF An additional advantage of hospital or HC massage is that these masseuses will be more likely to have dealt with people with edema and other medical problems. If you are in Bangkok, could also go to the massage school at Wat Pho.
