August 24, 200916 yr I would like my computers to search google.co.uk when I type a keyword into the address bar rather than google.co.th I am using Chrome and Firefox. I have changed the settings in the browsers but they still search .co.th Is there anything else I need to change? Thanks.
August 24, 200916 yr In firefox the easy way is to install the Googlebar light addon and the ability to set your default search loaction is one of the options. Else type About:config in the menu bar and change the approriate settings browser. search. defaulturl to http://www.google.co.uk or other location you may wish See this link for more information http://mostafa.mosmar.com/blog/2009/07/20/...-search-engine/ or http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=firefox+s...on&ie=UTF-8 Edited August 24, 200916 yr by thaimite
August 24, 200916 yr As long as you do not clear your cookies the "ncr" (no country re-direct) after google one time, as in post #3, will take care of it. Edited August 24, 200916 yr by lopburi3
August 24, 200916 yr Occasionally I use GOOGLE in Germany via this URL: www.google.com/intl/de it does not upset my local settings or affect my cookies. this should also work for /uk opalhort
August 24, 200916 yr http://www.redflymarketing.com/blog/google...rent-locations/ Add on for firefox that lets you choose different google sites for any search, doesn't work with firefox 3.5 at the moment though...
