Non O Extension Khor Dor 2 Or Kor Ror 22?

Featured Replies

Time has come for another Non O extension based on marriage. What is this new document that people are talking about?

Khor Dor 2? What is it and how do I get it?

Married overseas and had my marriage certificate translated and they gave us a Khor Ror 22. Is that the equivalent document of the Khor Dor 2? Do I need to update my old Khor Ror 22 to prove we are still married?

I have been busy and have not had a chance to go in one month ahead of time. Have less than a week to go before my visa runs out. Please help.

On top of that, what kind of pictures do they want now?

You need to register your marriage at your wife's local amphur, they will then give you the Khor Ror 2.

Pictures of you and your wife at your residence in Thailand, map of how to get to your place.

We already registered our marriage and we were given the Kor Ror 22. This was about three years ago. We were married overseas, had our marriage certificate translated and then we went to register our marriage near immigration.

Does that mean we have to go now to the district office where she has her house registration? Do we have to do that every year?

Are there other documents that we need?

I usually have the following ready and produce as requested. Many people think it's over the top and way far too much, but better safe than sorry. Why go all the way back home when you can just open your briefcase and produce it there and then?

TM7 application form & photo

B1,900 fee

Passport & Arrival Card (TM6)

Signed copy of passport & TM6

90 days report slips (if any)

Marriage certificate

Signed copy of marriage cert

Tabien Baan

Signed copy of Tabien Baan

Wife's ID card

Signed copy of ID card

Wife’s passport data page

Signed copy of wife’s passport

Bank letter (dated day of application or 1 day before is OK)

Savings book

Signed copy of savings book

ATM receipt (dated day of application)

Signed map of address

Photos of house/wedding

If you can produce all these, you're OK!!

A nice list there James, but you forgot the Khor Ror 2 that is now being asked for and also some places have even starting asking for the Affirmation to Marry, not quite sure that its required but someone brought it up in another topic on TV.

I have mine anyhow and my wife puts all the paperwork together, this year to Ayutthaya.

If need be, where would you go about getting the original "Affirmation to Marry" form the UK embassy gave you? Would they have it or the amphur that issued the marriage certificate? I forget, but I'd presume the amphur.

Anyone?

Normaly the amphur takes the original in, so that is indeed the place to ask for a signed copy of it.

The "Affidavit to Marry" and the translation with MFA notarisation is supplied to the Amphur

office where you are married.

They will not issue you with a KD2 or KD3 otherwise. It is these documents that they wish to see. These are proof of your legal marriage in Thailand.

However if you were married outside of Thailand additional requirements may have to be met.

These need to be documented if possible for informative purposes.

You only need the Kor Ror 22. The Kor Ror 2 is only needed if you had gotten married here.

I was married in Bangkok 7 years ago and I was given a coloured wedding certificate and a paper which is printed on both sides which my wife and myself signed, is that our Kor Dor 2.

I never got one but that sounds like what it should be.

This is the standard marriage certificate issued at the Amphur office when you get married.

2 copies, one for each person.

Anybody have a copy/scan of a kor ror 22 that they can post?
