Is it possible to buy English books in Sisaket? Or where is the closest place?

If not anyone here up for a swap I have:

Up Country - Nelson Demille

The Bormann Testament - Jack Higgins

Cambodian Interlude - Tom Riddle

The Appeal - John Grisham

Confessions of a Bangkok Private Eye -

Memories of a Bangkok Warrier - Dean Barrett

Hardship Postings - Expats in Asia Vol 3

And a couple more.

In serious need of some reading material.

If you want to venture to Surin, we at th F.C. have quite a good selection of books. About three hundred.

If you get to Ubon you can swap them out at Wrong Way or Peppers.

Srisaket is probably like Ubon in not having English language books available for sale anywhere.

FYI if you want to order books kinokuniya out of Bangkok has a service to order online and they are delivered to your door.

I have used this service for a few years and have been happy with it.

In Ubon, N-Joy also has a book-swap service. English language books can be bought inside Robinson's (Ubon), but there is a very limited selection.

Cheers,

Mike

For anyone's interest, there is a bookshop on Koh Samui called "Island Books" with literally thousands of books in stock. He has several hundred books coming in and out each week as well so the selection is always growing, and changing, and updating.

He has now started a postal service, which actually started this week with my first order. I am having six books sent up here to korat and the postage including the box is only 70 baht. If anyone is interested and wants any particular book then pm me and I will let you have his email address.

HL :)

A friend of mine has just started a FREE Thailand Book Exchange. You sign up and post ten books you are willing to trade, find books on the list you want, contact the people who own those books, trade books via Thai post.

THAILAND's FREE BOOK EXCHANGE:

honkeyboybooks (dot) webs (dot) com

It just started about five days ago, so the library is not full by any means now, but there are some great books up already and the more people that join the more there will be to choose from.

At the risk of sounding like a snob - which when it comes to books I suppose I am - I think the idea is to try and post books that one would not necessarily be able to find at the airport or on the meager "Asia Books" shelf of your local Bookazine or such like...
