Visa Dilemma

Featured Replies

Hi,

Was just wondering if anyone could answer my query, I'm getting more and more confused reading posts not quite the same to my situation.

I'm already in Thailand. I would like to stay in the country for another month and a half, but I have flights in and out of Bangkok booked after this time. If I'm literally flying into Bangkok, staying at the airport and waiting for a flight out of the country, does this count as an entry?

I was thinking the free 60 day visa would be the best option, but will I be able to fly into Bangkok for my future flights?

If anyone could help me, that would be great!

Thanks...

If you have a free 60 day tourist visa I suspect you also get a free 30 day visa exempt stamp on any air entry so not sure why you are asking if it counts as an entry. If you go through immigration it is an entry - if you are booked through and wait in the transit area it is not. But what will happen will depend on the airlines/flights involved. But it makes no difference if you are from a country with visa exempt entry.

Immigration no longer counts the number of entries you make.

To stay for a month and half you need to go to Laos or Malaysia and get a 60 day Tourist Visa.

At the moment they are being issued free.
