You girlfriend is from a Asean member country and have special conditions (more easy) but sure 30 days on arrival stamp by air, 15 on land. 2 years ago mine could travel with ID card only but probably changed. Best ask Embassy in PP. or check here http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2637.php

Cambodian Nationals are required to obtain a Visa before enter Thailand.

Thank you for your answers. Does anybody know if a Cambodian ID card will be enough to request for a Tourist Visa? Or is a passport required? My girlfriend does not have an ID card and a passport but she has some kind of confirmation letter of her mother. They told her at the embassy that costs will be USD 500 because she has to do the ID card first and only after she can make the passport.

Your GF will need a passport $125.00 if you wait 1 month(probably?) $250.00 if you want in 5 days , we did ours at 'Lucky-Luck"' travel agent on Monivong Boulevard , immigration office gives too much agro .
