I'm from the UK and live in bkk. I will to go to Perth for a week in a few weeks. I want to take the opportunity to get a multiple entry visa (Non B if not too hard). The consulate is only open Tue and Thu AM but apparently they do process everything very quickly providing you get there smart, early and prepared.

Whats the requirements for a Non B? (I've heard its a letter offering employment. Showing salary and travel reasons for the multiple entry. No company registration documents or accounts required)

Non O multiple entry? Proof of stay in Thailand. Proof of relationship. Reason to stay longer. Don't need to be at retirement age. This will not allow you to get a work permit.

If anyone has more info I'd be glad to here, so I can plan correctly, as the info I have is far from perfect.

I get Non O every year from Perth, the girls there are Kiwis and very helpful, generally, if you present in morning of Tuesday can pick up visa on Thursday,/lodge Thursday, pick up Tuesday, on a couple of occcasions I have had difficulty returning and have been allowed back same afternoon to collect visa. Depends a lot on very grumpy Hon Con. They require partner passport copy, or Thai ID as proof of relationship, Hon Con is very picky about this

Have been issued non B even though supporting partner and Thai family is clearly stated as reason for visa.

You can obtain a work permit in Thailand against Non-O visa (as well as Non-B visa), so if this is easier for you to obtain you can still go the work route.
