Try GMAC in Bangkok I think web portal Gmac owns martialarts.in.th

or just google Gmac Gym Bangkok & you will find the martial arts supplies Gmac

web site gmac gear shop.

Email "Tavey" he is the boss & a top great guy to do business with,

I bought a lot of martial arts gear off him, & he is very good to deal with,

good price, & I think if you do not see a Wing Chun (or WT - apologies! lol)

Dummy, email or call as he might be able to get you a Wooden Dummy on order.

(His Martial arts Gmac school got a Wing Chun class, so good reason to try gmac).

Another reason if have to be specially imported (assuming) you are better off

going through an established (Thai) martial arts import & export company who

Knows the ropes (and the lads), as I ordered in myself my TNT rubber training

knives, & had to pay a sizeable (unofficial) amount, as "the lads" figured my

krav maga training knives were made of "dangerous toxic plastic" ahem....

and "fee" was an EU countries trade unionized workers weeks wages level.

Hope that helps!

Then again... Another WOODEN DUMMY idea is buy a plan or Blueprint,

& get one made locally! there for no importation, shipping or other issues! ;-)

I got KRAV MAGA TRAINING LONG GUNs which the Blue Gun versions costs fortunes,

made to an acceptable standard for training regular class for a few 1000 B in Pattaya.

(ok, if your training the FBI, you might need the proper "Blue Guns" which are balanced

& weighted exactly, got professional level training, but since Krav Maga Pattaya Self Defense

class in only 170 B a class, the wooden krav maga training guns do fine! in addition

to our 2 rubber AK-47s! LOL! :-) )

I am going to get anything like this I need again, made locally, ala Rubber Training Knives,

etc I am sure, there is plenty of local workshops that can mould stuff like this low cost & easy.

Hope that Helps

Hi there,

20.000 THB doesn't seems expensive to me for a dummy, as long as it respects the proportions and the wood is hard enough (Mai Deng - Teak). Just a little thing, you say you would like to own a dummy, which I understand as it is a beautiful object, but make sure you have the necessary training. Most of Sifu (teachers) won't teach the use of the dummy until you have learn the 3 forms, for the simple reason it will be useless and you can hurt yourself badly.

I'm looking myself for a dummy, I was about to build one actually, please give us some feedback about that one if you have seen it.

Thanks
