Transportation From Bkk Airport

Hi

Can anyone advise on the best way to get from BKK airport to Chanthaburi? I will be flying in from Chiang Mai and want to keep it as simple and reasonably priced as possible.

Thanks

There are busses leaving every hour or so towards Pattaya from the big bus station near the Suvarnabhumi airport. There is a free shuttle bus that leaves the airport every 20 minutes to the bus station. The bus to Chanthaburi is probably one of the ones that goes through Pattaya and Rayong. It's about 2 hours from the airport to Pattaya and another couple hours to Rayong. And, a couple more to Chanthaburi.

Mr Forbes makes it far too complicated.

There ARE-about every 2 hrs-DIRECT Motorway express buses to Chanta too-from the BUSterminal-get there by free whiote shuttle, beyond the taxi's fenced off area. Then ask-book at the BoKoSo window. Buses may go on to Trat or Laem Ngop-last bus around 18.00, i think. In fact these buses come from Mochit main busstation-and only pick up at swampy when there are bookings. IF there is no bus soon-even then dont bother with PTY-take any RAYONG bus-and change there.

on a site like whitesandspublications (aimed at Koh Chang) you can find more info on these buses=-possibly even times.

any busses running from airport to hua hin/

starting another question on a running hthread is called hi-=jacking, it often leads to no results

there are no direct buses to HHin

there are connections-involving just 1 change-citybus 552 to the Victory Monument, then minibus (rot tua) to HHin/Cha-am, every hour, not fitted for the oversized luggage most farang take with them

next best: taxi or citybus 556 (hourly, takes some 75-90 min for some 50 kms) to Sai Thai new Bus terminal-in the far west of BKK, then normal size big bus
