advice please

many thanks

Muppet may be too mild - he could have taken care of that a week ago and not lost any time. As everyone has a new home smile currently he may be able to extend Monday - if not he should make a border run to use the second entry (and hope they do not check him on the way). He could fly out and back tonight to be completely safe; but somehow don't expect he is that concerned.

Chances are he will get 30 day extension on Monday, but likely immigration will fine him for 3 days overstay (1,500 baht). He will need completed Form TM7, passport sized photo, copies of passport photo page, visa page, permission to stay page and TM6 departure card. Fee 1,900 baht. If not, as Lopburi says, he will have to do border run and pay overstay fine.
