Marriage / U.k Civil Partnership Visa --aquiring In Thailand For Two Non Thais

Featured Replies

What would be the first steps to take for two foreign nationals (one British) in Thailand to obtain a marriage visa?

What nationality is the other foreign national?

Are you asking about a marriage visit or settlement?

I believe you are talking in regards to a settlement application.

Are you a heterosexual couple (marriage), or same sex (Civil Partnership)? CP is not available to the former.

Yes, this thread indicates settlement.

Moojuujane, it would make it easier for everyone and avoid confusion if you could keep to one thread when asking about this subject.

For settlement as the spouse of a British citizen or resident, see:-

Maintenance and accommodation

Settlement; spouses

TB certificate

For where and how to apply, fees, documents required etc see UK visa application centre.

The British National can get married In Thailand and apply for a settlement visa, You will find how to Do it on This site if you look for it. It will tell you all you want to know , just a Case of searching for it. The question has been asked many times.

Also, as neither partner is Thai, to marry in Thailand they would both need to obtain an Affirmation of Freedom to Marry. The Brit from the British embassy, the other national from his/her embassy.
