Learning Thai - Hua Hin Or Cha Am?

Featured Replies

Greetings,

Any suggestions on where to learn Thai in Cha Am or Hua Hin? I can do private lessons or attend to a school. A couple of hours every day is possible. My current knowledge level equals or is close to zero.

Did a search on forum but did not find any relevant information.

Cheers

Thai language is forbidden in Hua Hin.

Walen is considering opening a school in Hua Hin. We are not sure however if there would be enough foreigners to support Walen.

There is an option of learning online with Walen for those who cannot find a good Thai school near where they live.

I found something called Insight English in Cha Am near the traffic light on Soi Rajpre and a school named Tec in hua hin. I cant post links however. Going to check them out when opportunity presents itself.

isaan is prefferrable. no any farang's face during the year and you will speak thai easely. At least - "I want to eat", "where is a toilet", "too expensive" I guarantee

Hi, Why don't you visit website "onlychaam" they have a lot of information about Cha-Am, as your enquiry, for example here under:-

Being able to speak Thai will make your life in Thailand much more fun, easy and interesting. Insight English is a private school located in a small soi just before Home Mart, on your left when coming from Hua Hin. The Thai teacher speaks only Thai during class, but she's also bilingual in English."

As a tourist visiting Thailand for the first time or occasionally, you probably won't feel the need to learn Thai language. But it's always fun to learn a few basic words and see the Thais' reaction when you speak!"

Actually, I suppose you have known about this website already. Anyway, just in case. I like this website style and useful information...

TLC is on Phetkasem Road about 1 km on the left before Market Village in Hua Hin. There is a new course for beginners in Thai starting this Tuesday (10th Nov). I know because I'm on it. They have a very good reputation. Australian / Thai owned.
