Double Entry Tr Visa First Entry Immigration Stamps Used Or Not?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Double entry Tourist visa how it works i mean when enter thailand first time i will get stamp as used??? Just want to make clear coz dont want to get wrong stamp at the airport and lose my second entry.

One more question.

What is the last date to use my visa for second entry. Enter before 19th.... it means i should do it on 18th or 19th is still ok.

Thank you !!!

You will get 60 day permission to stay on arrival. The immigration officer may handwrite on the visa that you have used first entry. A few days before expiry you can extend your permission to stay for further 30 days at Thai immigration. You will not lose any days by applying early. Around day 90 you need to do border run and re-enter Thailand to activate your second 60 day stay. The immigration officer will stamp your visa as "Used". You need to watch the date carefully here because different embassies apply different 'enter before' dates. A visa with a 'enter before' date of 19th means you must leave and re-enter the country by 18th at the latest. Then extend permission to stay again for further 30 days at Thai immigration. That would give you nearly 6 months stay. Then start the process again if you want to stay longer. Extensions cost 1900 baht a time.
