Hi All,

I was using my Sony Vaio last week without any apparent problems. I shut it down and put in away in the cupboard and the battery is now completely flat. I got a new original battery around 3 months ago. The battery charger light is on so there must be power coming in, but there is no light showing on the computer, after an hour on charge. Luckily I have a back up laptop.

Any Ideas?

Cheers, Rick

Just because the light is on doesn't necessarily mean the charger is working correctly, but since you have tried a new battery with no luck suggest you take the unit to a dealer to be looked at. Wish you well. :)

Thanks I thought that might be the answer, but was hoping not. I will take it in to a dealer.
