April 4, 200521 yr Interesting idea, but a little unfeasible. Phuket is on the west side of the Thai land mass, Samui is on the east. To get from one to the other by boat would mean going south around Malaysia, crossing pirate infested waters, etc. Check the map of Thailand and you will see what I mean. I'm sure you can book a trip from Phuket to Samu in Phuket, prooably via minivan acroos the country and then a boat trip from Donsak or Surat to Samui. But if you do the boat ride please let us know how it went!
April 5, 200521 yr Bangkok to Samui; first and last flights are 2150 baht. Phuket to Samui; 1780 baht
April 5, 200521 yr Fly in , going over the islands on a nice sunny day is a great sight & you get to land in our boutique airport.
April 6, 200521 yr Take the boat down to Singapore, turn right and head back up Malaysia and your virtually there. Take the plane, or overland it by bus. It will probably shave a few days off travelling by boat.

April 10, 200521 yr Hey, we laugh but we just had some kooky farang guy come and ask about buying my husband's speedboat (he uses it for wakeboarding, waterskiing and mainly for his fun ) because this guy wants to take it down the coast of Thailand, around Singapore, up the other side and over to India. Good luck guy, it is a 14 foot 85 hp boat. What a nutter!
