smokie36
I just tried to change my outward flight to bring it forward to this weekend. The online booking agents quoted me over £1800 to change the dates! My original ticket only cost £1400. Why oh why?? Looks like I'll be kicking my heels in London for another fortnight. Tickets with 'Y' is considered unrestricted and will carry a premium price (on economy) upon purchase. Whenever you change your ticket, the code will change therefore dramatically increasing your fare. Also, the fare will depend on the seats (inventory) your carrier or code share airline(s) for that particular day/flight. The advice is; always be sure of your itinerary before purchasing any 'promotional & restrictive' type fare.
