Pheu Thai getting cold feet about trying to disband the Democrats

The Pheu Thai Party has backpedalled from an earlier stand about seeking the dissolution of the Democrat Party on the ground for bribing two prosecution witnesses to bring about the disbandment of the Thai Rak Thai Party in 2007.

Even though Pheu Thai member Panlop Pinmanee called attention to the briberies of the two witnesses, the main opposition party would not initiate the legal proceedings against the Democrats, Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit said on Thursday.

"Our party will not act like fish dying in shallow water," Prompong said alluding to the electoral provision that the accusing political party might end up being penalised if the accused party could clear the charge for frame-up.

He said the main opposition party will debate the main coalition party about its ethical standard in the House though refrain from legal wrangling.

You mean, much like it was hard to wrestle the power from the corrupt party that was in power and an PM that stayed on as 'caretaker' PM (invented role) due to the partys inability to get the required majority after calling a snap election to prevent MPs from fleeing the party, stacking the police with friends and shuffling in military friends in higher positions?
