Inexpensive Retailers In Bkk!

Featured Replies

Fortune Town in BKK

Capa Digi and Pix One both offer outstanding deals on photo equipment. For example:

Nikon D90 with 18-200mm VRII ~ 51,500 THB

Canon 5D Mark II body only ~ 79,000 THB

You will definitely save money at either of these shops. The caveat is that the warranties are issued from the shop and any repair may mean a shipment to Japan (shop takes care of that).

Doesn't in shop warranty translate to grey market merchandise?

That is exactly what they sell - and for someone living in Thailand is can be a large savings. Although my last look found most of the grey items missing as if they had been pressured into removing them (few months ago). They also sell local imports at higher prices.

50 years ago the camera fixed price monopoly was broken in the US by dealers in New York; but it is still alive in Thailand. And is true for most items here.

Yes, I saved about 16K baht with Pix-One. If there is a problem, they will ship to Nikon Thailand. Capa Digi was a bit less expensive but they ship to Nikon Japan.

Thanks to the original poster in the pinned section for mentioning these shops at Fortune Town.

Be aware Capa Digi website is not considered safe.
