The last time I stayed in Kanchanaburi (2006) I used the shared 'taxi service' that operated from a street front desk opposite the market. We wanted to leave early in the morning and took the whole car for 400 baht (1960's vintage Toyota Crown) to Bangkok followed by a taxi to Ekami and then the bus to Pattaya.

Are there any other transport options available now for the same Kanchanaburi to Jomtien trip ??

Thanks in advance jap.gif

of course there are-quicker and easier too. But the more I see these Qs-the more I hesitate to even spend time for an answer-as ot seems most TV posters rather opt for a pricvate taxi with their friend.

1.the big bus to Sai Thai here in BKK-then from Sai Tahi another big bus DIRECT to PTY-via the superfast new southern ringroad-runs ev 2 hrs, from BKK (used to be) like 8.30-10.30 etc. If well timed-by far the superior and fastest trip

2.minivan to Vict.Monument here in BKK-then change to another van to PTY

3.Big bus-nr 991x, from Kan-busstation- to the MOCHIT here in BKK-then a big bus to PTY/ev 20/30 mins.

4.as the train seems to attract so many addicts: the 2/day dead-slow and special farang priced train into BKK-Thonburi-take taxi (if you are very smart en know BKK-bus 40) to Ekamai-then as 1st venture. If you are so addicted to trains that BKk-PTY should also go by it: overnight in this cold BKK-have a blast-and take train next early morning.

and I am sure this list is not yet exhaustive
