Entering Thailand By Land, Need 30 Days

Featured Replies

My friend and I are entering Thailand from Koh Kong on 3-4 Dec, we are both Australians. I am flying back to Sydney in 2 weeks, my friend wants to stay for new year. Is there an easy way for him to get a 30 day at a land crossing, if not what is the best option.

If this has already been answered, and I am sure it has a point at the appropriate post would be appreciated. My access is limited at present :)

Thanks in advance

You will only receive 15 days visa exempt entry at land border (30 days if arriving by air). Your friend will have to do a border run to obtain second 15 day visa exempt entry. Or obtain a tourist visa in Phnom Penh which will give 60 day permission to stay on entry.

We are currently in Sihanoukville getting to Phnom Penh is outside our time frame, also sending passport there is as well (4 days) by local agent as we are getting a bus to Koh Kong on Wednesday, spending the night with the view of meeting friends in Bangkok on Friday night.

A visa run is always an option, but a painful one for for the amount of time we are staying. Would he get another 15 days when going to Burma? As this is also an option.

Once again thanks

Will get 15 days visa exempt stamp at any official land crossing on re-entry into the Kingdom.
